Why this derby name and number?
I've been called FoxAnne ever since I was given the nickname by Kenny Wilson Jr on a trip to Thailand (true story) and it really fits- I'm feisty, foxy, and cute to boot! My number 100F- originating out of a love of Freddy Mercury and failing to remembering song lyrics properly- it just happens to spell FOOL backwards. And I love that- because everyone needs a little foolishness in their life. Foolishness gives life its frivolity and spunkiness and always provides opportunity for laughter.

Big Spring, TX I'm a native Texan who moved to the great white north.

What position(s) do you play?
EVERYTHING!

How long have you been playing derby?
I've been skating since 2013- when Crissy Crossbones invited me to an open recruitment.

Current occupation?
Warehouse worker/order filler/heavy lifter/fork lift driver

Who is your derby wife?
Sunny Demolition, Felony Frankie, and the one and only Viral!

Drink of choice?
WATER, Shiner Ruby Red Bird, Wine, Mojitos, Tea, Coffee, Kombucha (in that order)

How did you get into derby?
Its a long story but its worth it- When I was moving to Chicago, this girl I worked with told me to look up her best friends in Chicago on Facebook so I would have someone to hang out with when I got here. Well though we tried, life got in the way and we never got together. A year goes by and I get an invitation from Crissy Crossbones to come to a DDD meet and greet for fresh meat tryouts. We were both having to look at pictures on Facebook to find each other since we had still never met. And as luck would have it- I fell in love with derby (even though Bones told me we could still hangout even if I didn't like it!). I finally found something to be passionate about. To care about. To help me be a part of something bigger than myself. And I got an amazing group of friends/second family out of it to boot!

Escort with a pop at the line or a backwards hook.

Jaws

Non-derby hobby(s)?
Traveling the world- I try to go on one out of the country vacation a year- and am always looking for suggestions! I also love music, food, laying on the beach and reading, and doing puzzles. yah I said it- PUZZLES

Favorite song(s) to skate to?
Anything by Matt and Kim or Death From Above 1979- and the theme song to Mortal Kombat

Words of advice?
Always keep pushing- there is an even better version of yourself on the other side of everyday.

If you could have one superhero power what would it be?
Flying. If I could have 2 superpowers the first one would still be flying and the second one would be to apperate.

If you weren’t playing roller derby what would you be doing?
Id like to think I would have kept up on my fitness roller coaster- so I might have become some sort of cross fit enthusiast or yogi. But who knows?!
