ROLLER DERBY DOUBLE HEADER SATURDAY, AUGUST 17TH!

ROSELLE, IL (August 13, 2013) – Oh Hot Dame! Get ready for hard hits and solid booty blocks, the DuPage Derby Dames return to the track for their sixth home bout of the season!

The Dames will host the Renegade Rollitia Roller Girls of Marshall, Michigan and the Battle Creek Cereal Killers of Battle Creek Michigan at the Coachlite Skate Center in Roselle, Illinois on August 17, 2013.

Doors will open at 5:30pm sharp. The first bout of the evening will commence at 6:00pm with the Dames Onslaught vs. Renegade, followed by the Dames Uproar vs. the Cereal Killers at approximately 7:30pm.

The pre-sale ticket price is $10 or tickets can be purchased for $12 at the door. Children 8 and under are free. Tickets are available now and can be purchased in advance from Brown Paper Tickets at: or from your favorite roller girl.

Venture out to the Coachlite Skate Center and join this powerful League of skaters in the excitement of jukes, jumps, whips and wipe-outs!

The DuPage Derby Dames will donate a portion of the proceeds from this home bout to the Susan G. Komen Foundation, an organization that has played a critical role in every major advance in the fight against breast cancer, since 1982. The check will be presented during half time.

Women’s roller derby is a full contact, aggressive, competitive sport played on traditional quad skates. In the past few years, the sport has experienced a worldwide explosion, with nearly 1,200 leagues popping up around the world.

About the DuPage Derby Dames

The DuPage Derby Dames roller derby league, formed in 2010, is the premiere all female flat track roller derby league in the western suburbs of Chicago, and part of the modern women’s roller derby phenomenon. The League’s mission is to provide the women of their community with an opportunity to get involved in the exciting, fast-paced sport that fosters respect and builds confidence.

The Derby Dames strive to promote athleticism and camaraderie among their skaters through competitive sport, regular practice, and do-it-yourself management. Every member exhibits behavior that brings honor and distinction to the League, the sport of roller derby, and the WFTDA, as they work toward obtaining official membership. They are 100% skater owned and operated, with members running all facets of League management, including bout production, coaching, marketing and public relations, and merchandising.
