Why this derby name and number?
Being a musician, I wanted to choose a name that was musically related. Lady S. Pain is a play on the song "Lady of Spain" from the 1930s. It's an oldie but goodie. ;)

Blocker and Pivot

How long have you been playing derby?
Since March 2011

Current occupation?
I work in the Accounting department for a music company.

Who is your derby wife?
No derby wife for me!

Drink of choice?
Iced tea with lemon... all day every day!

How did you get into derby?
My best friend at the time told me about a new league that was taking skaters, no experience was necessary. Since I would always tell her I wished I could be good enough to join a roller derby league, she pushed me into checking it out. And today I'm still happy she did!

Weapon of choice?
A four pronged spork!

Favorite movie?
Gone With the Wind, it's a classic!

Non-derby hobby(s)?
Playing flute, cooking, camping, fighting crime under the alias The Violet Flame. You know, the typical stuff.

Favorite song(s) to skate to?
Anything funk or disco!

Words of advice?
It's never too late to try something new, don't be afraid to step outside of your comfort zone!

If you could have one superhero power what would it be?
Invisibility, all the way.

If you weren’t playing roller derby what would you be doing?
Everything I do now, but maybe just a bit more often!
