Mascot, Roary Feldman, despite appearances, is not a man in a lion costume. He is an actual lion who has been trained to maul any and all adults who are willfully ignorant of the DuPage Derby Dames and/or who are illiterate of roller derby in general. In this respect he acts as a guardian, cheerleader and educator, terrifying fans and rival teams into understanding the glory and majesty of the Uproar, Onslaught and Outrage during bouts and in the greater world at large.
